  8. Open Enrollment 1. If you are interested in a program not offered at your home school you must have completed the online "Open Enrollment" application. 2. Open enrollment forms are available on the DUSD homepage at www.dysart.org. 3. If you attend another HS other than your home school, you will likely need to provide your own transportation to and from school. Limited transportation may be available. Applications for bus passes will be available after successful completion of enrollment.

Cambridge Dysart High School Willow Canyon High School ▪ ❏ ▫ Cambridge 9 th grade ❏ School-wide (all freshmen) courses are Honors courses ❏ Cambridge English, Math, Biology and World History ▫ Students can remain enrolled at WCHS and take AP or IB Honors classes available ❏ level classes ❏ Students may remain enrolled at DHS and ▫ Cambridge Spanish and Art take AP or Dual & Design available Enrollment classes Upon successful passing of Cambridge exams, students are eligible for the Grand Canyon Diploma.

  10. Advance Placement Classes AP You can earn college credit!! Advanced Placement (AP) classes are available your 10, 11 and 12 th grade years in the following courses: ▫ Calculus AB World History ▫ Statistics Music Theory ▫ English Lang. Physics ▫ Biology French ▫ US History Studio Art ▫ Government Chemistry ▫ Psychology Calculus BC ▫ Spanish English Lit.

Core Area Course Selection Core classes (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) ▪ 8th Grade Teachers completed on-line recommendations for students Placement into Core Area Courses will be based on: Proficiency on benchmark assessments ➢ Proficiency on English and math placement assessments ➢ that will be done later this spring Teacher recommendation ➢ Please take your benchmark and placement assessments seriously.

  14. Freshmen COURSE SELECTION Options to Earn a PE Credit ● PE (Boys or Girls) ● Marching Band ● Dance ● JROTC Electives Please choose 1 elective and 3 alternate electives . Write in the course number and course name on your course selection sheet.

Carefully choose your electives, indicating them ▪ from 1-4. Write in the course # and name.

Your Schedule … ▪ Every effort will be made to schedule your elective choices by your order of listed preference using the 1-4 system. ▪ Scheduling changes will ONLY be made for academic reasons. ▪ Elective choices will not be changed after you turn in your form . High school schedules are built on elective choices.
