  • In order to prioritize live instruction, Wednesdays during

weeks that are less than 5 days will become another instructional day, and virtual check-ins will not occur.

  • The missing day of the week will be held on Wednesday in

place of the typical Wednesday check-in schedule.

  • Email the Attendance Secretary at nancy_slocum@mcpsmd.org
  • Fill out the attendance form on the FMS website homepage
  • Absences will be reconciliated daily by the Attendance

What does the PTA do for school instruction?

IXL for mathematics and English. Students are provided username to gain fluency and confidence in math! IXL helps students master essential skills at their own pace through fun and interactive questions, built in support, and motivating awards Brian Pop is used by teachers to make learning visible through tools that challenge students to reflect, make connections, and engage in deeper curiosity.

Other materials provided include: Smart Music, Screencastify, Virtual Field Trips, and English Novels

Join and Donate

When you join the PTA, donate to the PTA Direct Appeal at the same time! Our goal is $20,000, which we will use to directly fund various programs, enrichment materials, equipment, supplies (including PPE), social events (hopefully in the spring), and any other events important to our school.
