What are the Media Opportunities at ATE14? 19
New Media Program in 2014 Tourism Australia and TravMedia have introduced a new media program: What: International Media Marketplace or IMM Where: Hotel Grand Chancellor, Palm Cove, Queensland 9 – 11 May 2014 (weekend prior to ATE14) When: Who: Participating tourism operators* and around 70 domestic and international media – trade and consumer *A limited number of spaces are available for operators due to venue size. 20
Program Snapshot The Program for Tourism Operators will include: Day 1 – Registration and welcome cocktail party Day 2 – Participation in one-on-one meetings with media Day 3 – Option to participate in a “New Media” workshop Networking opportunities 21
Why Participate? One-on-one meetings with international and domestic travel and trade media. Ability to request meetings with your target media. Access to media bios and contact details via IMM online press room. Networking opportunities. 22
Media Visits As part of the program, media will be offered pre- and post- famil visits. DNSW to work with Tourism Australia to arrange famils. Trade media will be offered a place on trade famils. Consumer media will be offered famils on an ad-hoc basis. 23

ATE14 International Media Marketplace (ATE14 IMM) Friday 9 to Sunday 11 May Palm Cove • Inaugural media event co-hosted by Tourism Australia and TravMedia • Targeting consumer/lifestyle media, trade media and digital influencers • Program of one-on-one appointments, networking sessions and events • Applications are now open at www.travmedia.com/immate (closing 28 February )
What else is new? • Dress for the climate in lightweight, casual attire • Standing networking lunches will take place at various locations within the Cairns Convention Centre, both indoors and outdoors • As the ATE14 venue is much smaller than previous years, happy hours will be out-and-about in some of Cairns wonderful venues • ATE14 will see the introduction of a new style of delegate bag • Transfers will not be running as most of the ATE sponsor hotels are located in very close proximity to the Cairns Convention Centre
