Describe the concept of the organisation as a system b. Describe and discuss the major theories and concepts that pertain to understanding behaviour in organisations c. Examine the role of Organisational Behaviour theory in enhancing both individual and organisational effectiveness d. Apply knowledge to develop solutions to practical and theoretical problems Weight: 15% Total Marks: 15% Word limit N/A Release Date: Week 1 Due Date: Week 7 • All work must be submitted via Turnitin by the due date along with a Submission Guidelines: completed Assignment Cover Page. • Reflective Journal needs to be submitted on Turnitin as a Word document. • The assignment must be in Power point format. • Reference sources must be cited and listed appropriately at the end in a reference list using APA referencing style. • If an extension of time to submit work is required, a Special Extension Consideration Application must be submitted directly to the School's Administration Officer, in Melbourne on Level 6 or in Sydney on Level 7. You must submit this application three working days prior to the due date of the assignment. ASSESSMENT 2 DETAILS: PRESENTATION OF JOURNAL ENTRIES Theories and concepts: Teaching & Learning Materials of weeks 1,2,3, & 4 {Chapter 1,3,4, & 5 of Griffin, et.al (2017)} Length: Presentation 15 minutes; and Documentation of Journal Entries day-to-day for three weeks Number of slides: Max 10 slides (highlights of days in the weeks with actual dates); Journal entries approximately 5 Pages In this assessment you are to individually present a summary of your own reflective journal that you have been recording over at least 3 weeks. In the reflective journal you need to record what you are feeling either highly motivated to achieve something; or not motivated to get moving (substantiate with theories & practices you experienced) or unable to take action, linking the experiences of high and low action or motivation to thoughts, feelings and behaviours at these times. You must provide supportive evidences to link theories to real-practice and experiences. A copy of the journal (referenced and supported as evidence-based) must be handed-in to your lecturer on the day of your presentation. You also need to hand-in your power point slides which are also referenced and supported with theories from particularly chapters: 1,2,3,4 of Griffin, et al. 2017 and other suitable journal articles. Your presentation should explain your motivation levels based on your journal entries which discusses relevant motivational theories/models that has helped you to understand your motivational levels throughout these three weeks as highlights of your experiences. Marking criteria: Marking criteria is shown in following table. Marks are allocated as follows: Section to be included in Detailed Description of the Criteria Marks the report Criteria 1 Professionally dressed for the presentation 10 Criteria 2 Completed and submitted journal with suitable and supportive 20 theories to support your analysis and reflection Criteria 3 Journal documentation and discussion with supportive 30 evidences of the summary of three weeks (on day-to-day basis within the context of relevant motivational theories/models). Criteria 4 Creativity of presentation, including effective use of visual aids; 30 Clarity of expression, including voice projection, fluency, proper gestures, eye contact; Criteria 5 Interactive exercise that is relevant to this journal 10 documentation and presentation so as to attract audience interaction.
