ASEAN Regional Mech chanism o on D Disaster M Management • The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) consists of 10 countries with more than 600 million people. • ASEAN is also a region that is prone to disasters in which every year, on average, the ASEAN region experiences losses related to natural disasters estimated at US$ 4.4 billion* • To reduce disaster losses in ASEAN region and jointly respond to disaster emergencies ASEAN Foreign Ministers signed ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management Emergency Response (AADMER) on July 2005 • ASEAN leaders in the several ASEAN summits reiterated that AADMER is the common platform for disaster management in ASEAN

Regional Risk financing and Insurance Framework 2. Enhanced acces to finance to private sector 3. Strengthened the lingkage between DM and the economy 4. Enhanced the capacities of private sector 5. Ensured SP and Social Safety in the content of disasters
