2011 Petite Sirah
“A great Petite Sirah that preserves the variety’s rich power, yet reins it in toward elegance. It’s enormously concentrated in ripe blueberry and cherry pie fruit, spiced with black pepper, and wrapped into thick but soft tannins. There’s a ripeness to the finish that makes it succulent, but it’s dry in style. Compelling and delicious, it drinks beautifully now.” — Steve Heimoff (8/1/2013) The Wine Enthusiast
2011 Zinfandel
“Miro is building an impressive track record for Zinfandel, putting to shame many others that cost far more. This ’11 is as good as anything they’ve done, and defines Dry Creek Valley with its ripe, briary berry, tobacco, cocoa and spice flavors. Smooth in tannins and bright with acidity, it’s beautiful to drink now with beef in almost any form.” —Steve Heimoff (8/1/2013) The Wine Enthusiast
2008 Zinfandel
A terrific Zinfandel, beautiful to drink now for its soft richness. Flatters the palate with deep, lingering black cherry and raspberry pie filling, vanilla, Indian spice and sandalwood flavors, but it’s completely dry, with rich, intricate tannins. Only 190 cases were produced, but worth the search.” — Steve Heimoff (2/1/2011) Wine Enthusiast
2007 Zinfandel
“This is a ripe, lusty Zinfandel, with many special qualities to recommend it. It’s dry and rich in smooth tannins, and offers a flood of wild forest berry, sweet new leather, red currant, mocha and exotic Asian spice flavors. Delicious, and will hold for up to six years.” — Steve Heimoff (12/1/2009) Wine Enthusiast
