What is APG?

• APG is a nondenominational, non-partisan and non-profit
• rganization that operates specifically in the following areas
• Promotion of Youth;
• Civic Education and Active Citizenship;
• European citizenship;
• Protection of Civil Rights;

Promotion of Young

• Promotion of Youth, to APG, means the development

and integration of everything concerning this age group, through projects conceived, designed and implemented to achieve this.

• Common examples are: meetings with companies, professional

associations, artisans, state and private schools, universities, training seminars in various European areas that can address the socio APG

• r organizations associated with our network, inter-cultural exchanges

between Italian regions and between European countries and beyond, movies, discussions on topics relevant to young people and in social life, moments of entertainment, concerts, trips, etc. ...

Civic Education and Active Citizenship

• Active citizenship is the citizens' participation in the

activities and social life of an area.

• To be a young active citizen not only means to benefit

from the standard tools of every entity, but to get closer to some of the communities of reference, and become an integral part

them.

• Being active citizen means contributing to the community

thanks to a sense of civic participation inherent in all of us and from this stems the Civic Education, which APG refers to.

European Citizenship

• The aim is to encourage young people to reflect on a

wide spread of European issues, such as European citizenship and to involve them in discussions on the development and the future of the European Union.

• On this basis, projects should have a widely European

dimension and stimulate reflection on the emerging European society and its values.

Protection of Civil Rights

• The APG, having high humanitarian aims, wants to promote, in

full compliance with state laws, the full implementation of the International Convention of Human Rights.

• The Italian Constitution and the provisions of law, national and

international laws, protect the rights of every living thing and especially the disadvantaged groups less protected by society: the elderly, sick, children with disabilities and vulnerable groups in general.

• The APG acts as a means to protect the rights of young people

and as an incitement for public institutions, not in opposition but along them, for the common aim of the protection of rights.

APG Network

• APG also acts as a network to organise:
• Assemblies, Councils, Youth-Forums,

Parliaments, associations and institutions who look at young people carefully, in order to promote and support this age group, making "system" through that Network.

What does APG do?

• Promotes social advancement of young people;
• Encourages initiatives aimed to develop the civic

awareness of young people, ensuring the participation in the administrative life on local, regional, national, European and international level;

• Organizes cultural, sporting, tourist, ecological, social and

recreational activities appropriate to meet the needs of leisure and ease of the young people;

• Interacts with the associations and social bodies in the area

and other organizations from various regions dealing with youth;

What does APG do?

• Maintains good social and cultural relations with foreign
• rganizations in order to pursue cooperation and development

between peoples;

• Promotes cooperation between bodies of youth participation

Makes suggestions, requests, demands and petitions to the respective authorities on issues and problems affecting society and especially those regarding/ coming from the youth;

• Promotes the social, cultural, experiential, professional, and

economic values of the youth through courses and training to make citizenship and participation more active;

• Organizes training courses suited to the pursuit of its purposes

and its network of partners.

APG contributes to promote:

• The full development of the human person and the effective participation of

all human beings in the political, economic and social development of the country, through initiatives aimed to remove any obstacles limiting the freedom and equality of citizens.

• The affirmation of human rights and defense of democratic principles and civil

liberties, individual and collective;

• The civic education of citizens;
• A culture of peace, solidarity and equal opportunities for men and women;
• The defense of the full balance of the ecosystem.
• Birth of a Foundation dedicated to the development of Youth Policy;
• The creation of a "Pool of Trainers" (group of trainers) enjoyed by the youth
• rganizations and their networks
