The proposed 2018/19 budget will be ratified by the incoming management committee but is likely to be split between new householder loans (if any), the community housing project and the continuation and development of the car club in accordance with the current society strategy. Biodiesel has been taken out of the budget due to low stock and supply problems causing the likely demise of the facility. Supplier affiliation income has fallen significantly and is now included under miscellaneous. Expected cash income is around £39k with an additional £5k or so of 2017/18 expenditure on the housing project recoverable from ERDF. This will allow a budget of £10k for householder loans and £18k for capital projects which would allow for initial feasibility study costs arising from the proposed community housing project and possible car club expansion. Any commitment to major capital expenditure will be ratified by the incoming management committee and, if deemed necessary, by the membership by way of an EGM.
