International Trade Administration (ITA)

ITA is organized into three business units that work together to achieve ITA’s mission: 1) Commercial Service-helps U.S. companies export goods and services, resolve market barriers, and promotes foreign investment into the United States. Must be minimum 51% U.S. content. 2) Industry and Analysis-develops and executes international trade and investment policies and strategies. Publishes research on global opportunities for U.S. industry. 3) Enforcement and Compliance-

  • Investigates allegations of unfair trade and enforces U.S.

antidumping duty and countervailing duty trade laws

  • Facilitates trade and promotes U.S. business investment and

commercial activity in more than 1,000 federally designated Foreign Trade Zones

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with trade agreements

negotiated on behalf of U.S. industries
