BENGAL SUPERMAT
Bengal Supermat is one of the largest selling waterproofing membranes in
- India. It has a special multi-layered design that gives it superior
flexibility, tensile strength and resistance to nature’s elements. The multilayered design consists of a 160 gsm Polyester Core coated on both sides with APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified Bitumen which is finished with Polyethylene film on one side. The PE side is further coated with bitumen and then the resultant membrane is finished with Thermo fusible film on both sides PROPERTY RESULT TEST

Advantages ISO-9002 Quality Assured Firm Product Data Colour Black Coverage The application of Bitumen Primer varies according to the porosity of the surface Metal Surafaces 6-12m2 per litre Concrete 3-m2 per litre Lightweight Concrete screeds and asbestos cement 3.5 – 5m2 per litre Viscosity @ 20 C 50-100 cps (Brookfield RVT Spindle 2 Speed 50 rpm) Specific Gravity 0.89 +/- 0.02 Solids Content 40 % by weight minimum Flash Point 38 C Drying Time Normally touch dry after 30 minutes. Completely dry after 1.5 hrs.
A cold applied solvent based bituminous solution designed to penetrate and seal porous surfaces prior to the application of covering materials METHOD OF USE
Surfaces should be clean, ie. free from oil, grease, dirt, dust and loose debris. On metal surfaces all loose rust should be removed using a wire bristled brush and where advanced signs of corrosion are evident these areas should initially be treated with a rust inhibitor such as red lead. Surfaces should preferably be dry although Bitumen Primer will adhere to damp but not wet
- surfaces. Bitumen Primer should be applied evenly across the surface in
- ne generous coating. Bitumen Primer is resistant to rainfall within 20-30
minutes of its application
