The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) is currently considering improvements to Alta Drive between I-295 and Burkit Lane, including:

 Widening the existing roadway to a six-lane,

divided roadway from I-295 to Faye Road

 Widening the existing roadway a four-lane urban

roadway to Ashgrove Road

 Widening the existing roadway to a five-lane

roadway to Burkit Lane

Within state right of way on Alta Drive, FDOT requests that JTA make the following changes to reduce conflicts and enhance safety:

 Widen the median south of Faye Road  Construct a directional median opening  Restrict the eastbound approach of Faye Road to
