Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, Orphans Court was in process of developing a system for the 303 through 306 Civil Commitment Process, but it did not include 302 commitments. All civil commitment petition processes have been hand written paper leading to illegible documents and duplicative work Faxing and US mail is used to send documents between hospitals, county offices, which has caused delays and missing paperwork ◦ At times missing paperwork cause of delays or inability to respond to requests from State Police under Uniform Firearms Act.

Produce legal documentation that is legible Allow visual review of the Petitioner’s statement prior to authorization and signature in real time Automatic completion of ACT 77 upon completion of the 302
