You might know the Aggie Welcome and Orientation (AWO) team through your own orientation program, but the AWO team is comprised of a group of energetic, knowledgeable, diverse, and friendly students that just can’t hide their Aggie Pride!
As an Orientation Leader, you become a representation of NMSU to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and friends and families as well as the NMSU community. With this, the responsibilities
with inside and outside of the orientation program
§ Assist students and families with
their transition into the NMSU community
§ To be knowledgeable about
NMSU's campus, policies, procedures, and services and to share this information in a professional manner
§ To represent NMSU in a
professional manner
§ To work as a team member to
accomplish the mission and
programs
§ Lead recruitment and retention
initiatives for Orientation staff for events such as Crimson Kickoff, Move-in weekend, and Family Weekend
§ And many more
§ Full time undergraduate NMSU main campus
student, with at least one semester completed by January 2017
§ Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better
upon hire and maintain through Spring 2017
§ Must be enrolled or plan to enroll for the Fall
2017 semester
§ Cannot be on disciplinary or academic
probation within the University at any point of the semester
§ Applicants must be able to attend all
required dates listed in the application
§ Must be present throughout Summer 2017 § Must be able to relate and interact well with
students, families, faculty, and staff of NMSU
