Personal contact with every person who has been identified as a case is a key factor to disease control Case Monitoring As any disease progresses lab testing will begin to highlight cases that may have been here all the time Lab Testing Scientists within the department carefully monitor the patterns of any disease to track if it is behaving as expected or not Epidemiological Surveillance Persons who meet definitions outlined by the Center for Disease Control may be requested to stay home and report their symptoms to protect others Isolation & Quarantine
