September ❏ UC application is open ❏ Work on your college applications, personal insight questions and essays. ❏ Complete your Brag Sheet on Naviance ❏ Ask your teachers and your counselor for letter of recommendation. October ❏ Meet with college representatives in the CCC. ❏ If you are applying early: EA or ED, finalize your application. ❏ CSU application filing opens October 1 ❏ Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)/Dream Act ❏ FHS offering free SAT on Campus October 19 November ❏ EA and ED deadlines are typically November 1 or 15 ❏ Deadline for Counselor letter of recommendation is November 15 ❏ UC and CSU application deadline is November 30. ❏ Take SAT or ACT

All classes must be passed with a grade of ‘C’ or better. How to apply
ELC (Eligibility in the Local Context): If you rank in the top 9 percent of students in your high school
class you may be eligible for ELC designation. UC will identify the top 9 percent of students based on GPA in UC approved coursework completed in the 10th & 11th grades. When will I find out if I’m designated ELC? Your application will be automatically screened for ELC eligibility when you apply. There’s no extra paperwork. After submitting the application, you can return to the MY UC APPLICATION page to see whether or not your been designated as being in the top 9 percent of your class.

must respond to 4 of the 8 questions.
- Each response is limited to a max of 350
words.
- Which questions you choose to answer is
entirely up to you.
