“Adopt A Street” is about changing the spiritual climate in your community. Q – What would happen if 100% of all the streets in your community were being prayed for daily for the next twelve months? Adopt A Street

• 4. More comprehensive focus on reaching the world (Acts 1: 8)
• 5. Outward focus on neighborhood and community
• 6. Includes a strong focus on the marketplace (Acts 17: 17)
• 7. Covers the entire community
• 8. Adopt a street brings unity among the churches (John 17)
• 9. Simple to understand and even a child can embrace it and do it
• 10. Christians take ownership of the streets & the community at same time
• 11. Includes homes, businesses and travelers on each street

Adopt a Street applies the principles of Prayer Evangelism. Prayer evangelism in its most basic form teaches that: God wants us to talk to God about people, BEFORE we talk to people about God. Q – Do you want to see a move of God in your church? city? and region? A definition of insanity… . Hearing the voice of God (The 7 churches in Revelation)

• Rev. 2: 7 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Begin to listen to the voice of God for your city and region. We must hear from

• God. Ask God to lead the churches to come together in a spirit of unity, for a move
• f the Holy Spirit that will bring revival and a harvest of souls for the kingdom.

Prayer: God, what are YOU wanting to do in my city and my region? God, help me to listen and to hear Your voice and Your heart for this city. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Daily pray these 4 things for your street (4 action steps from Luke 10).

Jesus is just waiting to be invited to Your city. Revelation 3 2 0 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. “Adopt A Street” -- Jesus Christ gets invited to every street. Luke 1 0 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. Look to see where God is at work and join Him there. Luke 1 0 8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’ Adopt a street is not a program but a lifestyle of being available to God for divine appointm ents each day. Let the Holy Spirit lead you daily to the people and streets He has for you. Acts 8 :2 6 -3 1 26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” 27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”).  Pray for God to continue to bless the growing revival in the Upper Perk region.  Pray for churches and Christians outside of the Upper Perk region to help adopt the streets in Upper Perk. Forms are available for you or your church.  Pray that UPPEN would see 100% of the 450 streets adopted.  Pray that God would use UPPEN to be a model of transformation for the region that would help be a detonator for other communities/ regions to experience transformation throughout southeastern, PA.
