Stephanie Alexander piloted the first Kitchen Garden Program at Collingwood College in 2001. The Foundation was established in 2004 to engage more schools and support them to deliver the program. In 2005 there were three Kitchen Garden Program Schools. In March 2015 the Foundation reached its goal of seeing the program delivered in 10% of Australian schools with a primary curriculum –

• ver 800 schools.

In order for pleasurable food education to reach more children and communities, the Foundation launched a new membership service – the Kitchen Garden Classroom.
