The EE Process in Solarize Triad
- You are qualified as an EE candidate
- Our EE partner calls you to schedule a free
energy audit (normal cost: $180-$300)
- The audit is completed and you receive a
proposal of recommended work
- If you decide to go ahead with the work, you will be provided a Services
Agreement detailing the work to be performed and cost
- Both parties sign the contract and work is completed
- After the work is completed, you will receive a two-year labor warranty
(twice what is required in NC)
Efficiency as an Investment
US EPA: investments in efficiency have a far better monetary return than any other investment strategy available. Efficiency improvements generally return the investment within 6-7 years and increase the value of your home. With EE, the average homeowner can cut their consumption by 20-30% and reduce their heating and cooling loads by 40%. Average return on investment (ROI) is 16% The payback can be as little as 1-2 years for things like lighting
- r six years for insulation.
