S C H O O L S F R O M D I S T R E S S E D C O M M U N I T I E S I N A P PA L AC H I A Student participants must attend a school in a designated Appalachian county (see http:/ /www.arc.gov/ counties) and plan to enroll in school in a designated Appalachian county for the 2020-2021 school year. Preference will be given to students from distressed communities as these students traditionally have little access to such programs and opportunities. R E F E R E N C E L E T T E R Student applicants must upload a letter of reference from a teacher, school counselor, school administrator, or other adult who is not related to the student . Applicants also have the option of submitting the name and contact information to be contacted as a C H A R AC T E R & E N T R E P R E N E U R I A L S P I R I T Student applicants must upload a video or presentation where they will demonstrate these as they tell you more about themselves and why they are applying to AEA 2020.
