Forensics Auditions

Auditions will be the week of April 15th during priority time.

Follow these steps:

  • 1. Starting March 25th, you may sign up for an audition day in room 400

(DO NOT sign up if you are unsure of what day you want to audition; Ms. Greenway will be put you in her class in Enriching Students for the day you sign up for). You are responsible for making sure you are caught up

  • n your homework so that you don’t get pulled out of your audition day.

  • 2. Choose a poem, a section of a book, or a monologue that is about one

minute long.

  • 3. Memorize and practice

  • 4. Come to the Little Theater during priority on your audition day and

present to the Forensics coach and some of the current team.

Advanced Art Application Process

Advanced Art Application Applications are due: Friday, March 15th To be in Advanced Art you must be willing to:

Put in 100% effort throughout the year.

Have a positive attitude.

Create your own original artwork without copying.

Try new mediums, techniques, and methods.

Receive and utilize feedback and constructive criticism.

Work on something until it is finished and not give up.

Be in the class to learn and not just sign up to be with friends. T

To be considered for Advanced Art you must return a drawing of a face, a hand, and a drawing of your choice. Do your best work!

Qualifications Overview

The yearbook staff is looking for dedicated, committed, creative, organized, enthusiastic individuals who are willing to work as part of a team. Yearbook staff members must be able to work with others, must be reliable, must meet deadlines, and must put in extra work sessions outside of the regular school day. Staff members must also be dedicated to having fun and creating the best yearbook this school has ever seen!

Descriptions of GTT Classes

 Science of Technology -- Class where we practice

the design process through challenges such as Rube Goldberg Machines, Egg Drop, and making ice cream.

 Design and Modeling -- A pre-engineering class

where we learn to do drawings and how to use 3D modeling software. Students will be making a device to be used by someone with a handicap.

 Computer Science --provides an introduction to

computing concepts such as programming, Artificial Reality, Virtual Reality, and the changing nature of work.

 Automation and Robotics --provides an

introduction to computing concepts with a strong emphasis on Robotics and Automation along with their uses and effects on society.

New Career & Technical Education Classes for 2019-2020

Intro to Business (NEW) The purpose of this one-semester course is to introduce students to the opportunities available in the various programs of study that are offered through high school

  • courses. The student will learn about soft skill development,

business management, information technology, finance, hospitality & tourism, marketing career clusters and pathways as offered at the high school level.

EAST (NEW) Project based, service learning program designed to improve leadership and critical success skills. Students will deploy state-of- the-art technologies, be encouraged to think critically to creatively solve problems, and become positive agents of change to improve the school, community and world.
