Frank – the Student Card  To be eligible for the student card your student status needs to be active and you have to be a member of your local student union, options; o Download Frank App if you have a iOS or Android phone (requires a Finnish social security number plus phone number) o Order a plastic card without payment ability o Both require a recognizable digital photo!  Everything is done online, see frank.fi/en  Keep the app updated! 5/8/19 3

Student Cafeterias  The Student Union owns four student restaurants o Café Kåren o Café Gadolinia o Café Fänriken o Café Arken  Normal price for student lunch 2,60 euro.  Café Gadolinia is open longer <3 Late Lunch  If you don’t have a student card, you will get the lunch for student price by showing your receipt of paid Student Union fee + ID, only during September.  www.studentlunch.fi 5/8/19 4

The Student Union office and premises  The Student Union office is located on the third floor in the Kåren building on Tavastgatan 22  The office is open daily between 12-15 o’clock  One of the gyms included in CampusSport is located here  Café Kåren serving student lunch  Street Food Bar  Rooms available for meetings and gatherings  Sauna  Even a billiard table in the room called von Knorringska!  Foosball table by the main entrance 5/8/19 5

International Committee  A Committee for international students at Åbo Akademi University.  The IC meets a couple times per semester to discuss and decide what the main points are for the student union to promote concerning internationalisation. The IC discuss different ways for international students to be heard at the university,  and what international students should expect and demand from the university.  Meetings: 1.10, 19.11 @ The Student Union 3.1.2017 6
