4th Edition September 25-29, 2018 Bologna Design Week is an international event dedicated to the promotion of the culture

• f design in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Not to be missed, this annual event is takes place in the heart of the historic Bologna city center, in collaboration with Cersaie, Salone International of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings. Bologna Design Week is an event created and organized by the Youtool communication agency, who, with their years of expertise and strong ties to the world of design, has been facilitating meetings between designers and companies since 2011.

Main Location Palazzo Isolani

Rich with history and elegance, this iconic eighteenth century palace will be the site where we will host the info and media points, design exhibitions, vernissage and aperitifs dedicated to companies and designers to network and mingle.

This annual engagement promotes the culture of the project and takes stock of the role of design as a tool for innovation in the continuous cultural transformation that the city thrives on.

Five intense days of exhibitions, workshops, screenings and guided tours that will change one’s perception

he old town , bringing to life the historic buildings, art galleries, deconsecrated churches, unique and undiscovered locations and showrooms.

Main Events Design Night

Design Night will take place on Wednesday, September 26th and will engage city users and participants until midnight to explore itineraries and access unique and undiscovered buildings after hours throughout the historical Bologna city center.

Main Details Film Festival

In collaboration with the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna, a festival of short fjlms and features dedicated to design, creativity and architecture will be showcased.

Main Details Sound Design

With the musical collaboration of Irma Records, a soundtrack was created that will be played in dedicated locations participating in BDW 2018 emphasizing to the public the ongoing creative link between exhibits and aperitivo taking place throughout the city.

Main Details Fashion Design

Each year dozens of showrooms, design stores, art galleries and open city spaces join the BDW to host previews, events and exhibits for a transversal public attracted by new pathways of awareness and discovery.
