FAQ about VCE ENHANCEMENT SUBJECT

Do all students who apply for an enhancement be allocated one? No, applications are based on recommendations and the achievement level and work habits

  • utlined in the Semester 1 report and if necessary followed up with the Semester 2 report.

What happens if the enhancement subject I have applied for is full? This may occur as Year 11 students have priority due to the sequencing requirements of the VCE and in this case you may be offered an enhancement in your second choice. Should I choose my favourite subject as an enhancement? Not necessary, as having another year to develop skills will enable you to excel in this subject in Year 12. What happens if I perform poorly during Unit 1? Your achievement will be reviewed by your coordinator and if necessary you may required to withdraw from Unit 2 and instead complete a Year 10 elective. If I undertake an enhancement subject, can I complete only 4 subjects in year 12?

  • No. You will be required to undertake 5 Unit 3 & 4 subjects at Year 12.
