  4. PATHWAY PATHWAYS  Applied courses – lead to C (college) level courses in Grade 11  Academic courses – lead to M(college/university) or U (university) level courses in Grade 11

  7. Online Online Course Course Selection Selection  Students will enter their courses from home with their own user name and password  Online entry begins Monday February 10, 2020  Online entry closes Friday March 6, 2020

Option Sheet Entry Step Step 1 1: Log into your career cruising account via the Hub Go to home.hwdsb.on.ca and click on the Hub link - Log in using your school connect account information o Once in the HUB click on CC (career cruising) in the tool bar o you may need to sync your account by entering your career cruising username and password (this only needs to be done once )

  10. Pick your 5 Compulsory, 3 Electives and You MUST pick 2 Alternates in order to be able To SUBMIT your Options.

  11. Career Cruising Warning Symbols ! This red symbol means there is an ALERT for the course you have chosen that you MUST read. Lock in will NOT be allowed if this symbol is present. ! This blue symbol means there is an Advisor Note or Recommendation for the course you have chosen that you MUST read.

  12. Once you have picked your  5 Compulsory  3 Electives  AND your 2 Alternates Click on the SUBMIT button to lock in your Options.

  14. GRADE 10 Thresholds – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED  MPM2D1 – Must have 70% or better in MPM1D1 You cannot go to MPM2D1 from MFM1P1.  ENG2D1 – Must have a minimum of 70% in ENG1D1 OR 85% or higher in ENG1P1.  SNC2D1 – Must have a minimum of 70% in SNC1D1 OR 85% or higher in SNC1P1

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2020/2 2020/2021 021 GRADE 10 PAR2O1 – Healthy Active Mindfulness Prerequisite: None This course will focus on a variety of individual and small group activities that promote mindfulness, stress and anxiety management, suppleness, and strength of body & mind. Such activities will include but are not limited to yoga practice, mindfulness activities, hiking, and breath-centered movements. Students may be given opportunities to network with community resources supporting these practices through guest instructors and class trips.

  16. Course Course Selection Selection due due date date  March 6, 2020 – course selections locked in and Verification sheets returned to Student Services  Friday February 6th - Receive Status Sheet and Educational Planner in your home room.
