Project Summary

Purpose The Component-Based Solution Guide provides a consolidated strategic methodology to mitigating component-based obsolescence using the best technical and business solution rather than relying upon a transactional resolution. Goal Produce guidance for obsolescence technical and business solution strategies based upon component type, catalogue category and technology. Benefits

  • Supplement existing site obsolescence programs with guidance to

interfacing with other site stakeholders

  • Provide the program owner with a road map to the industry standards
  • Identify potential technical and procurement efficiencies within the
  • bsolescence process
  • Provide methodologies which align with IAEA standards for
  • bsolescence and overall parts readiness
