Section Activities Outside of the Annual Meeting

business meeting at the Annual Meeting

  • r via a virtual election prior to the

meeting.

  • Only faculty and professional staff of

member schools are eligible to be officers.

  • Section chairs may serve for two

consecutive years, but then may not serve again for another five years or may serve a

  • ne year term and not serve again for

another 6 years.

March

  • Awarded to Sections that promote AALS’s core

values, including, for example:

  • facilitating outstanding scholarship
  • providing teaching support and course materials
  • expanding membership and member

service

  • engagement with the bar and bench, and

mentoring programs

  • A Section that wins the award is not eligible to

win it again for at least another 5 years
