develop and distribute a Pavement Manual for the City of O’Fallon

 Intended as a quick reference and guide to the

maintenance/projects that are conducted to repair and replace pavement within the City for City Officials/Administration

 Will be posted on the City Website for reference  Similar to Manuals produced for other municipalities

 Comprised of three (3) steps

 System Configuration (GIS)  Field Data Collection (TransMAP/Staff)  Data Analysis, Reporting and Planning (PAVER Software)

 Data-based decision making and trend analysis factor

 The goal is to develop reliable performance

 Total Funding - $3.992 M  Fixed issues on over 350 street sections (replaced ~3K slabs)  Replaced 420 Ft. of Concrete Curb Ramp / 970 Ft. of

Underdrains

 Removal of partial-depth asphalt joint replacement (Mill and

Fill)

 Six (6) subdivisions cleared of PDAJ repairs, replaced with new

concrete slabs (~600 slabs, $750K)

 Clearing the backlog of open Work Orders (WO)  In collaboration with Streets Dept., reduced WOs from 283 to 19

upon completion ($2.25M)

 Concrete streets that have the lowest PCI ranking in the City

(Low PCI)

 Repaired the 20 lowest rated concrete streets in the City

(3.24 lane miles, $1M)

 No funding was allotted for this program in 2017.  No asphalt streets were repaired.

2017 Crack Seal Program

 Sealing 13 Residential Subdivisions (49.8 lane miles,

all roads)

 Sealing 24 Individual Streets (20.2 lane miles)  Approx. 70 lane miles of roadway (10% of total

roads in the City) will receive Crack Sealing

 Anticipated completion of project by end of

June 2018

 Replaced 1500 deficient panels (375 lin. ft.)  Replaced 49 ADA ramps

 Completed 35,700 ft of O’Fallon Streets (13 lane

miles)

 Asphalt streets/patches

 Used 360 tons of asphalt  Replaced 750 ft. of deficient asphalt patching  Addressed 180 potholes in the City (98% of WOs)

 A-Joints / Street Creep

 Installed 98 A-joints  Addressed 250 cases of street creep (90% of WOs)

 Roadway Striping / Sweeping

 Swept 2,052 lane miles of pavement (equivalent to 3

passes of the City)

 Striped 157 miles of markings (white/yellow)  Striped 2200 different traffic markers (stop bars,

arrows, islands, etc.)

 Signs

 Worked on 915 sign-related issues (Stop Signs, Street

Name, No Parking, Speed Limit, Etc.) throughout the City (95% of WOs)
