Percent of students taking the AP courses has increased across the District AP exam passing rate continues to be high (89%) AP courses are being re-aligned to the new standards and the changing College Board expectations Some increase seen when examining the various student subgroup participation in the AP enrollment and assessment participation (will be part of LCAP data)
SAT data based on the new SAT (redesigned SAT) First administration of the new SAT was in March 2016 Key changes to the SAT include:
More accurate alignment to high school curriculum Shift in vocabulary (words in context) Emphasis on use of evidence in answers Optional essay Removal of penalty for incorrect answers Free tutoring through partnership with Khan Academy
