 Percent of students taking the AP courses has increased across the District  AP exam passing rate continues to be high (89%)  AP courses are being re-aligned to the new standards and the changing College Board expectations  Some increase seen when examining the various student subgroup participation in the AP enrollment and assessment participation (will be part of LCAP data)

 SAT data based on the new SAT (redesigned SAT)  First administration of the new SAT was in March 2016  Key changes to the SAT include:

 More accurate alignment to high school curriculum  Shift in vocabulary (words in context)  Emphasis on use of evidence in answers  Optional essay  Removal of penalty for incorrect answers  Free tutoring through partnership with Khan Academy
