1 Who we are, and what we do?
Driconeq is the world leading producer of drill pipes to the mining, quarrying, ground engineering and water well industries. The company also offers related equipment such as drill collars, drill bits, wrenches, fishing tools etc to provide a full service concept. Factory and headquarter is located in Sunne, Sweden.
2 History
Driconeq was founded in 1995 following a relocation of Atlas Copco’s factory in Sunne. In 2001 the Driconeq brand started to gain recognition in the market place and a new growth phase began. During 2004 Driconeq expanded its operations by Investing 30 % in the heat treatment company Hảrdtekno. Acquiring a stake of 51 % in Advantage Inc and thereby strengthen its position on the US market. The remaining stake of Hảrdtekno was acquired during first half of 2007, securing heat treatment capacity for the projected growth. In 2011, Driconeq acquired Anceriz Industries (Pty) Ltd, a prominent South African developer and manufacturer of reverse circulation mining drilling products.

- continents. The head quarters and production units are
positioned in Sunne and Kristinehamn, Sweden. In 2011, Driconeq acquired Anceriz Industries (Pty) Ltd which is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Sale units are established in both Brazil and the United States.

5 Customer segments
Exploration In order to retrieve new findings of for example gold, exploration drilling is used. This technique involves pre-drilling and analyzing of the cuttings in several parts of a large area. Driconeq delivers Reverse circulation (dual wall) pipes, witch is a quick and effective method compared to core drilling in the search for minerals. Raise-boring is used through out the mining industry for example ventilation shafts or dumping shafts between different levels. This technique involves drilling a pilot hole between levels in a vertical or downwards angel. There after is the pilot bit exchanged for a reamer variegating in size up to six meters in
- diameter. Machines uses large
hydraulic cylinders to pull the reamer upwards as it rotates. Geothermal is a method for gaining energy out of the ground (earth) with the assistance of an heat pump. Most common is the use of DTH (down the hole hammer), but even traditional rotation drilling is used with this technique.

Another type of drilling is used in construction, when installing pipes or cables, in areas were digging is impossible – HDD (Horizontal directional drilling). 9 Employees
Driconeq is very proud over employees and co-workers. We see
- ur production unit as highly experienced. We recognize our
highly skilled personnel in CNC-programming along with unique competence in friction welding. Our production unit consists of 105 employees divided in three cities, 65 in Sunne, 10 in Kristinehamn and 30 in Johannesburg. The unit is divided into following areas: Logistics Sales organization Technique division Our worldwide sales unit consists of 1 employee in Brazil and 2 in the United States.
10 Machine park
Our production takes place in one of Europe's most top modern production facilities in Sunne and in a top modern annealing workshop in Kristinehamn. It's all In-house with full production control. The machine park consists of 2 friction welds 1 submerged arc welding machine 8 robot arm CNC-machines 7 CNC-lathes 3 CNC-milling cutters along with an automatic painting facility and annealing processor.

Hydraulic clamp system? When using hydraulic clamp jaws you may not use pipes with wrench flats. If this is done the jaws will squeeze on the tube instead of the extended tool joint. Drill pipes for rigs with hydraulic jaw system always has extended tool joint.

Rotation unit connection There are at least as many rotation unit connections as there are drill rig designs.
