Difficult to take up Leaving Certificate Accountancy without having done Business for the Junior Certificate Useful subjects for Business related degrees, but not essential for entry.

Art

Art portfolios needed for entry to most Art colleges , also some Architecture courses (not UCC) Very useful subject for Design & Multimedia courses

Home Economics

There are many jobs and careers that you can work in, e.g. chefs/cooks, catering, fashion and textiles, child care, teaching, food industry, tourism, and health and nutrition.

Music

Music not needed for entry per se, but entrance tests apply in related courses, therefore you may need to perform above Grade 4 in piano or singing etc. and answer music related questions in an interview all of which would not be possible without having studied music.
