About us

PSPA

has built a team of acknowledged experts, scientists, practitioners and consultants who can boast sector specific experience and knowledge gained in the industry of new mobility

PSPA

PSPA integrates players along the whole value chain of e-mobility, who work together towards developing the e-mobility market in Poland

Polish Alternative Fuels Association | pspa.com.pl

Polish Alternative Fuels Association

is the largest expert organization (NGO) building and helping grow the e-mobility market in Poland

SELECTED REASONS

Polish Alternative Fuels Association | pspa.com.pl

High vehicle prices No effective support mechanism Low availability of vehicles on the market Underdeveloped infrastructure

What’s behind e-figures as they are today?

Could the infrastructure be developing faster? Yes, it could!

SELECTED BARRIERS

No effective support mechanism Wait time for the connection High distribution charges

The manner of calculation and application of distribution tariffs in Poland is a barrier to the development of e-mobility

  • f more than 40 kW power

AC CHARGING STATIONS

At the same time they fall under the C21 TARIFF

DC CHARGING STATIONS

The C21 TARIFF means unit charge for contracted power being about 3 times higher than in case of the C11 TARIFF (applicable for contracted power up to 40 kW inclusive) Rate per 1 kWh in C21 TARIFF is about 4 times higher than in the C11 TARIFF In an attempt to optimize investment costs AC stations are a common choice as they allow two vehicles to charge simultaneously at 22 kW

Power based fixed costs do not apply in the G tariff, which is commonly used by households, which significantly determines the costs of energy used for charging vehicles at home Very high costs

The cost of energy and the distribution service (excluding all costs related to the hardware, its maintenance, customer service, invoicing etc.) for a DC station may amount to

The cost of traveling in an EV is significantly higher than traveling in a Diesel car

Those who don’t live in their own house lose

charging their EVS at a reasonable price

Even theoretically, there is no way such users could be offered EV charging at prices competitive to the costs of owning an ICE car

E-TARIFF FOR E-MOBILITY

Tariff basics

Development of electric transport works in favour of DNOs

– increased energy consumption

Distribution charges based on energy consumption,

and not with contracted capacity – that means only variable charges

The distribution charge in the E tariff is 3-times as high as the charge in a corresponding standard tariff,

for example, in the EC21 tariff the distribution charge is 3-times as high as the distribution charge in the C21 tariff

Distribution costs must be related to income

  • n sales of energy

CONCLUSION

Polish Alternative Fuels Association | pspa.com.pl

E-TARIFF FOR E-MOBILITY

Arguments for the E tariff

Development of e-mobility is a strategic goal The proportion of fixed distribution charges in Poland is inadequately high Infrastructure is key to the development of the EV market Development of e-mobility will generate benefits to the whole society Higher volume of energy will lead to lower unit costs in distribution charges EVs require high-power charging stations, however, the actual capacity load for the distribution network is not significant The E Tariff, by co-relating distribution charges with energy volume only,

  • ffers a solution where the profile of payments for distribution services

adjusts to the market dynamics

Charging network

  • perators do not

need grants but distribution tariffs matching the nature of their business
