  8. 8 F INAL P REPARATION C AMP • Guadalajara, Spain • July 23 rd – August 1 st / 7 th • St. Moritz, Switzerland • July 10 th – August 1 st / 7 th • These camps are open to all athletes according to their pre-World preparation plan • Preparation Camps will be pro-rated as per athlete • Personal coaches and IST are welcome to attend (policy to be discussed)

  21. 21 T RAVEL • All travel for athletes, coaches, and support staff must be booked with Athletics Canada • Air fare will be booked at the lowest available fare in economy class • Those wishing to upgrade will be responsible for the expense • Please be sure your passport is valid until December 31 st , 2017 • Any deviations of team travel plans need to be requested before and will be at your own expense

  22. 23 T RAVEL • Recommended travel dates • Athletes who are attending the training camp in Spain • July 22 nd from Canada to Madrid July 23 rd • August 1 st will be the 1 st wave and flights will depart late afternoon to arrive in London • August 7 th will be the 2 nd and final wave for flights and depart mid-afternoon • Athletes who are arriving directly to London • August 1 st or 7 th to London – Heathrow • Athletes who are attending the training camp in St. Moritz • August 1 st or 7 th from Zurich to London - Heathrow

  23. 22 D INING I NFORMATION • Meal proposals and information has been reviewed by Registered Dietician and Sport Nutritionist Jennifer Sygo and IST Lead Dr. Trent Stellingwerff. • Click here to see the planned menu for camp arranged in Spain • Similar menu proposal will be made in St. Moritz and London hotels

  24. 24 P ERSONAL C OACHES & IST • We will do our very best to accommodate personal coaches/IST to ensure high performance preparation is continued • Please refer to the Team Coach / Personal IST Policy and Selection for Major Events • All personal coaches will have to sign a Personal Coach Agreement form prior to arrival in London • Unfortunately, there is no guarantee for accreditations, venue passes or tickets • Personal coaches are responsible for their own meals • Most communication will be completed through WhatsApp

Katharine’s Way, London, E1W 1LD • Double occupancy • Athletes must stay at the Team Hotel until their event is completed • Personal coaches, family, and/or friends will not be able to stay at the Team Hotel due to capacity. • Travel time • Airport – 1 hour 20 minutes • Stadium – 30 minutes • Training – 20 minutes

W ARM U P 28 • Main warm up track – London Marathon Community Track • Includes 6 lane circular/8 lane straight 400m Mondo track • Horizontal jumps, high jump, pole vault • Weights area with free and fixed weights • Shot Put warm up will be on South Park Lawn between Market Street and IBC • Two circles available and weights area • Long throws will be showcased on Stratford Waterfront (includes Hammer Throw cage, discus and javelin runway) • Track events have an indoor 60m straight available by final call room

  29. 29 W ARM U P – T RACK • Transportation to stadium for athletes and staff • Refreshments, medical services, and physiotherapy will be available • Video screen at the end of the finish straight • 70 team tents will be located on grass – first come, first serve • Athlete can run on grass around tents • Hurdles and blocks will be available

  30. 30 W ARM U P – T HROWS • Stratford Waterfront – location of long throws for training • Dirt will be placed on asphalt • Includes cage for hammer and discus, a javelin runway, and weights • Refreshments, physiotherapy, and change rooms available • Transportation from the field – drop off is on Stafford St. under bridge in front of throwing area • 5-8 minutes back to stadium

  34. 34 M ARATHON • Both men and women run on the same day – 1st time ever • Men 10:55am & 2:00pm Women • Guoman Tower Hotel – Assembly point for change rooms • Marathon runs along Thames River • Start/Finish line Tower Bridge – (middle of the bridge) • Turnaround point – House of Parliament • Tower of London – Best vantage point (will see runner 4 times) • Hyde Park – Best training area for marathon • Medal Ceremony for marathon outside stadium • 150,000 – 200,000 fans expected along course • Tickets or wristbands to get into marathon mix area • http://www.london2017athletics.com/iaafworldchampionships/marathon
