  3. Overview of TI RAP  The TIRAP board is comprised of people from key segment s of t he indust ry. The board in a j oint vent ure wit h t he U.S . Depart ment of Labor Office of Apprent iceship is responsible for t he following: Creat ion or accept ance of t raining requirement s for companies t hat 1. want t o part icipat e in t he apprent iceship program. Ensure t hat we are fulfilling our responsibilit y t o allow employees 2. in t he program t o learn t o perform qualit y work in accord wit h t he st andards in t he safest of manners. Work t o st reamline t he process and facilit at e communicat ion 3. bet ween government ent it ies and indust ry. S upport regulat ors and receive support as we address t rends in t he 4. indust ry t hrough t raining Review changes in indust ry st andards and work t o allow access t o 5. t hese changes by companies and employees in t he program. Review dat a provided on t he st at us of t he program provided by t he 6. st at e or federal offices. 3

  5. Overview of TI RAP  Currently the board is empowering the committees that will support and review the training requirements. The following committees are being empowered: S afety – Jeremy Buckles - S BA 1. Quality –Art Pregler was the chair but looking for a new 2. chair as Art has taken on board responsibilities. Technology – James Walker-Pontius was the chair but 3. looking for a new chair as JWP has taken on board responsibilities Communication – Currently seeking a chair 4. Workforce Development – Dr. Gemma Frock 5. OEM – Currently seeking a chair 6. 5

US Department of Labor  Administration of the program  To work with the states and allow companies that want to enter the program to do so in a efficient manner  Responsible for the tracking of companies in the program  Provide data to TIRAP board  Issue of Interim credentials and certifications to the employees in the program  Credentials stay with the employee  Oversight 6

Goals  S upport employers seeking t o have apprent iceship using exist ing posit ions or creat ing new.  Working wit h NWS A in hopes of a MOU t hat will allow clear communicat ion on t ower relat ed posit ions.  Cont inuing development of t he t echnical pat hs  Cont inue working wit h TIA/ OS HA/ FCC and ot hers t o ensure cross communicat ion and awareness for t he indust ry  S ummit for senior HR individuals t o be host ed in DC during November  S t ay t rue t o t he goals of Qualit y, efficiencies, and S afet y as requirement s for t he t raining  Place emphasis on t he exist ing st andards and follow up on t he TIA/ TIRAP st andards overview provided t o OS HA  Maint ain a process t o ensure employers provide t raining and submit t heir dat a t o t he DOLOA and provide feedback t o t he board 10
