• BTEC Tech Awards have now replaced the NQF BTEC Awards
• Same qualification – Different Specification
• Ideal for students that want to develop their skills in the performing arts

through ‘real-life’ scenarios and tasks

• Aim to equip students with the skills needed to work in the performing arts

industry through 4 main aims: developing physical skills, develop creative thinking and generating new ideas, improve students personal management & discipline and understanding their responsibilities as performers in the industry.

Work as part of a group to create a performance in response to a specific question Create a 15 minute group performance Review the process

Exam Question released in May 2020 8 weeks timed task to create your response and review

3 x lessons per week (accelerated option, 2 year course) High quantity of practical lessons (please consider underlying medical issues) ALL lessons timetabled in large, mirrored dance studio Technique lessons every week with contemporary specialist Previous experience in dance desired but NOT essential Performing in front of an audience is an ESSENTIAL part of the course
