Grade Point Average
The GPA is a numerical index which summarises achievement. Universities in Western Australia work on a 0 – 7 scale and calculate the GPA for the course. Units are weighted according to their points value.
John XXIII College GPA
- As with the universities, the GPA will be on a scale 0 – 7.
- The GPA will be calculated for each semester.
- Only results for that semester will be included in the GPA.
- Only subjects that are awarded a grade will be included.
- Subjects will be weighted according to the number of periods they
have each fortnight. eg Year 9 English 8 PE 4 Maths 8 Health 2 HASS 8 Elective 1 6 Science 8 Elective 2 6 RE 8 TRJ 2
