Tutor Groups

  • Students are taught in their tutor groups
  • There is gradual and broad setting across key stage three
  • Over 60% of subjects set by ability by the end of year 9
  • In year 7, setting occurs in Maths from the start of term 1, based on

prior attainment in KS2 SATs

  • Reviewed regularly (at each assessment point) to ensure students

are working at the appropriate level
