Workforce Development is an approach to improve healthcare

and competencies of our workforce in order to create, sustain and retain a viable workforce.

WFD Alliance Role and Responsibilities

Oversee the development of our shared provider workforce Monitor and collect information on the workforce Plan workforce development initiatives including the recruitment and employment of AHCCCS members into healthcare roles Provide direct assistance to providers in the development of their respective workforces.

Analyze current and future healthcare trends Forecast the workforce capacities and competencies needed to address these trends Responsible for monitoring the overall performance of our shared provider network

Provider Role and Responsibilities

Acquire, develop, and deploy a sufficiently staffed and qualified workforce that capably delivers services to members. Establish processes for documenting training, and verifying the qualifications, skills, knowledge and competence of personnel Create competency based systems for service delivery. Submit annual agency specific Workforce Development Plan and provide progress updates as required.
