Hi History y of Ca Career eer Na Navigator • In 2016, Work began on how all 13 organizations would be connected to Near West American Job Center (comprehensive one-stop) and in compliance with new WIOA implementation law requiring WIOA Title II to integrate with WIOA Title I, III & IV. • CCLC and 13 WIOA title II Adult Education providers decided to collaborate and staff a Career Navigator at the Near West American Job Center to represent their services by utilizing 2.5% of what each program was awarded in Federal Basic. • In February 2018, CCLC interviewed, hired and began managing the Career Pathways Navigator model. • Navigator Background: B.A. in Criminal Justice, 4 Years in WIOA Title I as a Workforce Youth Career Coach/Job Developer in Cook County during transition from WIA to WIOA and IWDS system to Career Connect. Familiar with WIOA Eligibility, registration process, and the WIOA training providers in Cook County. Fluent in Spanish.

WIO WIOA Title e II: II: Free ee Adult Ed Ser Services ces - Adult Literacy : Small group of students learn how to read, comprehend and analyze books, documents and they improve their writing skills, focusing on punctuation, grammar and spelling. - Adult Basic Education (ABE): Improves TABE numeracy and literacy skills to enter workforce training or GED program. - High School Equivalency (HSE/GED): Prepares students to pass exam by providing test taking strategies in Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. -English as Second Language(ESL): Beginning, Intermediate or Advanced courses to help learners improve their ability to communicate in English. - Digital Literacy: Teaches basic, or advance computer skills from searching the internet to Google Doc Formatting. - Citizenship: Covers exam topics and naturalization interview.

Qualified candidates will receive 12 weeks of comprehensive training that prepares them to become Certified Solar Installation Technicians.
