  • ur collection of warm outerwear. Boots; coats; sweaters; long johns; toques;

gloves etc. Anything warm, any size. Street shoes too if you want. Please donate serviceable items in good repair. In November we were able to take 3 car loads (trunk as well as back seat) up to our sister Parish, Holy Trinity Emmanuel. As well we took one load of textiles for recycling. The collection box will remain from January 20 to February 4. There will also be the box for items beyond reuse. Items you can’t wear or use anymore, like things falling apart or a single sock with a hole; a single sneaker or a worn out table cloth! The only thing asked is that the textiles are clean and not be stained with grease,

  • il or solvents. These will be dismantled or shredded and distributed to either

national or international markets where they have a use. Please sort these items

  • separately. Over 7,000 tonnes of textiles are recycled annually, however, another

30,000 tonnes still end up in Nova Scotian landfills. Any questions or for more details please feel free to contact Eleanor at 435-6012. Thank you
