WHO ARE WE?
We are parents and residents from the 11 communities of U-46. We are concerned about the success of all children in U-46. Through our involvement in CAC we learn about how the District works; we meet administrators, teachers, and School Board members; and we contribute our ideas and recommendations to improve our children’s education through committee work.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
Study specific educational topics/ideas and make
recommendations to the Board of Education
- n ways to improve education in U-46. These
studies and recommendations are performed in the various committees.
Assist the Board and Administration in identifying
ways to achieve district objectives.
Provide a forum for residents of U-46 to express
thoughts and ideas to the Board.
While CAC recommendations and studies do not have to be accepted
- r followed by the Board, our work is well received and the district
has adopted many of our recommendations. Time and time again, the group’s work has made a meaningful contribution in the district.

- r community members that live within the school’s attendance boundary.
School principals select five representatives; an additional two can be appointed by the Executive Committee as “at-large” members. At-large members cannot serve as a committee chairperson; all other opportunities and responsibilities remain the same. Whenever possible, representation should be a reflection
