  3. SITE ENTRANCE ARRANGEMENTS • Pedestrian entrance for construction staff is via the rear Redan Place entrance • Pedestrian entrance for Whiteleys office staff and art exhibition is from central Queensway security door • Vehicle access in to the basement is via Redan Place

WORKS OVERVIEW • Completed works ‐ Scaffold and hoarding to Redan Place ‐ Phone box removal from Porchester Gardens ‐ Tree removal, Redan Place, Porchester Gardens and Queensway ‐ Queensway bus stop has been closed ‐ Queensway bus lane and footpath have been closed ‐ Minilith removal on Queensway (for reinstatement) ‐ Soft strip works to M&S

WORKS OVERVIEW • Upcoming works Street light removal along Queensway from Thursday 6 th Dec ‐ Road improvement works (humps) from Thursday 6 th Dec ‐ Queensway central crossing removal from Thursday 6 th Dec ‐ Footpath improvement works from W/C 10 th Dec ‐ ‐ Scaffolding and hoarding to existing entrances ‐ Soft strip of vacant units ‐ New welfare set up ‐ Temporary service installation ‐ Structural investigations ‐ Ongoing asbestos surveys

  9. FAÇADE RETENTION SCHEME • Final designs being drawn up now • Steel fabrication due to start 17.12.18 • Footpath substrate improvement works Dec/Jan 19 • Steel frame erection due to start Mid February 19 • Frame erection planned completion June 19

  10. TOWER CRANES • Two tower cranes are to be erected TC1 (South) 23/24 th February 19 • TC2 (North) 9/10 th March 19 • • TC dismantles Sept/Oct 19

  11. HOARDING AND ROAD WORKS • Hoarding has been erected along Redan Place • Hoarding to Queensway and Porchester Gardens to commence in Jan 19 • Queensway bus stop is closed and the bus lane has been suspended. • Road improvement works (hump removal) are to start from Thursday 6 th December for approx. 3 weeks • Footpath improvement works to Redan Place to start next week

  12. ASBESTOS AND SOFT STRIP WORKS • Asbestos survey/investigations are underway ahead of the soft strip work • Currently no asbestos has been found • Soft strip works have started in the following vacant units ‐ Marks and Spencer ‐ GAP • New welfare preparation works have started on the GF of Queensway elevation

  13. NOISE DUST AND VIBRATION • Real time monitors installed before Christmas • Monitoring regime developed with independent specialist • Monitoring plan submitted and agreed with WCC • Alerts sent if any trigger levels are breached • Onsite testing of dust suppression equipment

  14. DEMOLITION • Demolition of the car park is due to start 07.01.19 • Demolition of the car park to be complete mid April 19 • Demolition of the car park basement slab March to end May 19 • Demolition of the main shopping centre May – Nov 19

COMMUNITY LIAISON Liaison Group Meetings will be held every Month Newsletters will be sent out on a monthly basis and information notices on a ad-hoc basis Complaints Procedure: The contact telephone number of the Erith Site Manager and Erith Communications Team will be displayed around the site boundary and contained in newsletters and notices.
