ROUTINES AND EXPECTATIONS Children to be dropped off to their classrooms / drop off point every morning where there will always be a member of staff to ask questions to etc. Early morning work will be in the classroom and pupils must be in their classrooms at 9:00am. Please ensure you are here during the allocated timeslot and only arrive 5 minutes before (no earlier please!) to drop off in order to avoid large groups gathering. Children will be dismissed at the designated area by their teacher at 3.30pm.

  10. ROUTINES AND EXPECTATIONS Children are expected to wear full school uniform and weather appropriate clothing (coat) for school. Coats must be in school every day as we will be doing lots of our learning outdoors. Everything in school should be labelled, including pencil cases, pens and water bottles. Pupils should have their own pencil case which is left in school. PE kits and school bags are not permitted in school. Pupils will have a plastic folder for their homework planners and reading books.

  11. CHANGES AT BELL FARM Pupils will need to have trainers in school every day (no PE kits allowed) and they will take part in daily exercise in school. There will be no homework or spelling books and this will be put on our new online platform from now on. Pupils have regular handwashing in the classrooms. All desks are wiped down regularly. Lunches are eaten in the classroom. Pupils will be within bubbles. There are no whole school assemblies but assemblies will take place in class and pupils will receive special awards / golden postcards in class when achieved.

  12. CHANGES AT BELL FARM Face coverings will be worn by adults in communal areas and corridors but will not be worn in class or when teaching children as this can hinder communication and interaction. Children do not need to wear face masks, unless they use public transport to come to school. They will be supported to remove them safely once in school.

  13. THE HIVE As you will already know, we have now opened The Hive at Bell Farm School. This is a specialist centre that teaches children with communication and interaction needs (predominantly autism). This is run by Mrs Seabrook. We will be welcoming our new children from The Hive into some of our lessons in the future, which we are all really looking forward to. We will be following the guidance on when it is safe for us to start this integration.

  14. NEWSLETTER Approximately every fortnight, a newsletter will be sent home. This is to inform you of what is going on at school and may help you to support your child with what they will be learning about. The newsletter also includes upcoming events and dates. It celebrates some of the achievements of the pupils in the year group. The first newsletter will be sent out this week.
