Freshman Year ◼ Encourage them to get involved - Clubs, Sports, Band, Choir, school sponsored activities, church activities, community service, etc. ◼ Studies have shown that students who are involved in sports and activities do better in the classroom – they have higher GPAs than students who are not involved .

  13. Online Registration ◼ Steps for Online Registration: ▪ Log in to Powerschool.

  14. Choose courses in each department that you want to take for next school year. Click on the edit button to request a course.

  15. In this example, since math is a year-long course, put a checkmark in all three trimesters (100s - 1st Trimester, 400s - 2nd Trimester, 700s - 3rd Trimester). Click “Okay” After all your choices, click “submit”.

Important Dates WHS Counselors will share registration info: ◼ @ NWJH Monday, February 4 ▪ Return Friday, February 8th to complete ◼ @ SEJH TBD ◼ @ NCJH TBD Students should complete the “Class Registration” in PowerSchool and turn in the registration form to the counselors August Parent Orientation (7pm - Date TBD) Freshman Orientation (1 - 3pm - Date TBD)
