What is College Avenue Compact?

Guaranteed Admission to SDSU

  • Guaranteed admission to San Diego State

University (SDSU) for Hoover students who meet certain requirements.

  • A unique agreement for Hoover High School

students only.

  • Eligibility begins with continuous enrollment at

Hoover High School in grades 9-12.

Financial Aid is available for students attending community college, vocational schools and 4-year universities

FAFSA Application

Must be U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident Must have valid SSN Must obtain high school diploma or GED Name on FAFSA must match your SSN card

CA Dream Act Application

Non-US Citizen or Non-Legal Permanent Resident NO valid SSN (DACA students) Must obtain high school diploma or GED Name on Dream Act must match your birth certificate For both applications you will need your parents 2016 income tax return (if they file taxes)

  • Don’t wait ‘til last min to complete/submit college apps
  • Have a counselor, teacher or CAC advisor review your

college and financial aid applications BEFORE YOU SUBMIT!

  • Make sure you hit SUBMIT on your applications and check

to make sure that you got an email confirmation

  • Have a back-up plan: Apply to SDSU AND non-competitive

schools
