All Head Coaches coaching Bantam, Midget, Junior ‘A’ teams that compete in Interprovincial or National Championships or the highest level as determined by the Branch, must be High Performance 1 ‘Certified’. It is recommended that all Assistant Coaches be at minimum Development 1 ‘Trained’. This would take effect starting in the 2015/16 season, 2016/17 for Junior ‘A’ coaches.

NOHA SUBSIDY

In March 2014, the NOHA Board of Directors approved the following policy to be implemented immediately: “That the NOHA subsidize all Coaches in the NOHA who successfully complete the High Performance 1 Certification (Clinic and Evaluation) by providing $200.00 towards the cost of the clinic through the Coach Mentorship Fund. Payment will be made to the Coach upon receipt of full certification.”

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • HP1 applications can be found under the Coaches tab
  • n the OHF website (www.ohf.on.ca).
  • Coaches will have the ability to rank in order what

seminar they would like to attend.

  • Successful applicants will be notified and will be sent

more information including payment instructions.

  • The deadline to submit the online application form for

the HP1 clinics is as follows:

– June Clinics ‐ May 1, 2014 – July Clinic ‐ June 1, 2014 – August Clinics – July 1, 2014
