Mission Statement: Safely construct all project improvements to the specified scope, quality, and schedule expectations in a manner that is respectful to all stakeholders. Goals:

  • Eliminate or minimize rework & stay on budget.
  • Fully compliance with all Federal and ADOT

Partnering Charter

Issue resolution:  Identify issues and conflicts early & resolve them promptly.  Document decisions via written communications.  Implement the resolution ladder appropriately.  Be proactive, clear, timely and project-focused. Team work and relationships:  Be quick to encourage feedback & be open to constructive suggestions.  Minimize disruption to the public.  Collaborate with stakeholders including Pima County departments, contractors, utilities, nearby road construction projects, businesses, and the public.  Constant communication between team members.

Schedule:  Create a construction schedule that is complete and thorough, update the schedule monthly, and use it to execute the work.  Limit disruptions to traffic and pedestrians.  Consider impacts to schedule & budget during decision- making.  Coordinate schedule with local and school activities.  Timely submittal, review, processing, and payment of monthly pay applications. Safety:  Strive for an accident-free project through awareness & planning.  Identify safety concerns in a timely manner.

  • 1. Identify and clarify the issue.
  • 2. Gather the facts.

3. Determine who needs to be involved. 4. Schedule a meeting to assure uninterrupted time when meeting. 5. Communicate the issue to and ask input from those involved. 6. Brainstorm resolutions and prioritize. 7. Decide on resolution at the operations level. 8. Record agreements and action items. 9. Use Issue Resolution levels as needed.

  • 10. Bring final decision back to all those involved.
