Justice K S Hegde Founder Justice K S Hegde (1909 – 1990) – Born in Kowdoor village on June 16, 1909, Kowdoor Sadananda Hegde had his early education at Karkala and Mangaluru.

• Dr. Shankara Adyanthaya always wanted to start a high school in

Nitte as he had a special affection for its people. This interest in rural education and the motivation of his sister Meenakshi Hegde, the wife of Justice K S Hegde, Founder of Nitte Education Trust, paved the way for starting schools and colleges to be named after him.

inspiration for Dr. NSAM FGC. He is the former president of Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi. He is also Vice-President of International Federation of Engineering Education, Societies, Washington D.C, USA and President of Forum of VC of State Universities of Karnataka.
