At 10.30 a.m, since the quorum was incomplete, the meeting was adjourned for 15

• minutes. The AGM of the centre commenced

at 10.45 a.m. 84 members were present for the AGM. One minute silence observed by all members to pay respects for those members who left for their heavenly abode during the year.

Agenda Item No.1:- Confirmation of the Minutes

• f the AGM Held on 27th June-2011 at the Centre

The Chairman informed the General Body that the minutes were placed at www.ieteblr.org well in advance and hard copies were circulated before commencement of AGM. He invited comments on the minutes from the members. There being no comments, Dr. MH Kori, FIETE proposed the minutes for approval and Sri.D.N.R.Rao, FIETE seconded it.

Agenda Item No.2:- To Consider and Adopt the Annual Reoprt for the Year 2010-2011. Hony Secretary, D.Rajagopal presented the Annual Report with ppt presentations. The exhaustive report covered all the activities of the centre with relevant details. Members welcomed the report with applauses. Sri D.N.R.Rao, FIETE, highly appreciated the report and the presentation and wanted his comments to be placed on record. Sri R.Somasundaram queried about the drastic reduction in iSF membership. Hony Secretary clarified that ISF Strength has in fact increased this year and the figures for the previous year ISF membership appears to be erroneous.

Sri D.N.R.Rao expressed the hope that this year too the centre can bag the Best centre award. Chairman clarified that once adjudged as the Best Centre, the centre is not eligible for next two years. Many

• years result. Chairman mentioned that he will take up

this matter with the Governig Council. The Annual Report was propsed for the approval by Sri.D.N.R.Rao, FIETE, Sri G.R.Joshi, FIETE, seconded it.

Agenda Item No.3:-To Consider and Adopt the Audited Statement of Accouts and Balance Sheet for the Year 2010-2011. Hony Treasurer, A.B.Srinivasan presented the accounts. He mentioned that the Audited satements are part of the annual report. The high-lights of the accounts with comarisions with 2009 and 2010 were presented using

• ppt. Members appreciated the reduction in

expenditure during the year. R.Somasundaram proposed the accounts for approval. Sri D.N.R.Rao seconded the proposal.

Agenda Item No.4:- Address by Chairman WgCdr HR Parthasarathy, Chairman expressed his happiness over the cooperation of EC members and all

• ther members in improving the centres image through

various activities. He mentioned the appreciation of President IETE and other Governing council members for the conduct of IETE-MTS at Bangalore. He exhorted the members to attend functions organized at the centre in strength.He appreciated the support from HQ IETE in all activities of the Centre. He thanked all the members for their invaluable contributions.

Sri G.R.Joshi enquired about the progress in having some of the activities at South of Bangalore. Chairman mentioned that some activities are planned for and the details will be shortly announced after finalization. Dr.M.H.Kori mentioned that participation in such activities by members is to be ensured so that the efforts are not wasted. There being no other points, the meeting concluded with a motion of thanks to the chair.

• 2011. The objective of IETE Conference on RF &

Wireless is to fulfill the need to have an exclusive RF event under the aegis of IETE, to encourage youngsters to embrace this exciting and expanding field of Electronics and Communication.

The conference was organized on 15th and 16th Oct 2011.More than 80 papers were received from various eminent institutes and prominent research organization like IISc, NIT and LRDE. About 16 high quality technical papers were selected and presented in conference on two days 15th and 16th Oct 2011.

Former Chairman IETE Bangalore Centre was always available for guidance and shoulder great responsibilities in all activities of the centre. His self less service is worth emulation and he sets an example of himself in executing his assignments. I thank Dr. Kori for all his contributions and whole hearted involvement. He conducted the Dec 2011 and June 2012 Exams in a meticulous way as SoE.We ardently hope that he will get elected to IETE Council to extract his expertise for the benefit of IETE at the National

His sense of humor often brought relief amidst tension.He is the Returning Officer for 2012-14 EC Elections.
