Summary The COVID-19 Equity Project is a unique culturally appropriate community-based approach that employs local community leaders to serve as Community Health Workers and relies on established trusted relationships and community-based expertise to ensure that essential workers in our community have access to the information and resources they need to keep themselves and their families safe from COVID-19 while building the needed public health infrastructure for today and the future. Through combined expertise and deep community ties, community-based organizations have coalesced under the COVID-19 Equity Project to provide: • Prevention Health Education • Contact Tracing • Quarantine Support A coordinated response to combat the COVID-19 outbreak among Fresno’s most vulnerable populations.
