Forecasting: Step by Step
1.
Research classes of interest
2.
Get your form from your 2nd period teacher on March 8th, immediately fill in your name, student ID, due date and counselor
3.
Research classes more: use Course Planning Guide for help
4.
Meet with your counselor as needed to select classes
5.
Finish filling out forecasting form completely
6.
Get signatures from your parents and teachers (for classes marked with a ).
7.
Enter class choices with counselors March 15-16 and turn in form – make sure to select alternates!
How m any classes do I take?
Freshmen = 7 classes Sophomores = 7 classes
Juniors take at least 6 classes.
Seniors take at least 4 classes.

English 1.0 credit Electives 2.0 credits Science 1.0 credit Math 1.0 credit Social Studies 1.0 credit
JUNIORS – 6 credits
Honor Roll & Athletics
Honor Roll requires 6 graded classes.
Classes taken for Pass/ No Pass credit w ill not count.
Participating in Athletics requires passing

For NCAA eligibility:
Need 16 Core Credits Register with NCAA Junior Year See Athletic Director for questions.

Minimum grade point averages for admission: 3.00 for U of O, OSU, PSU, OIT, SOU. 2.75 for EOU and WOU Universities also require ACT/SAT test scores. Additional review may also

CREDIT RECOVERY
There are several ways you can make up a class that you’ve failed:
Online, SUN, Summer School
If you fail a core class, see your School Counselor immediately to
get signed up for credit recovery stay ON TRACK to graduate!
Classes must be approved by your COUNSELOR prior to
registration.
If you have questions, make an appointment to see your
Counselor ASAP!
Check to see if you have failed classes in StudentVue, under
“COURSE HISTORY.”

If you don’t have one or both of these you must go to
the m ain office and request this before your forecasting day.
When do I forecast?
Forms will be given to Sophomores in 2nd period on March 8th Forms MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE you can enter your classes into the computer:
